Little windows of summer sky through my parents’ cherry tree:

Blue sky through cherry tree

Soon those leave will be a thing of the past. And the future, maybe, if they head to the compost pile. Wish we could bank the sun in the same fashion!

Nice photo In a manner of speaking those leaves are “Banking the sun” but I’m sure not looking forward to winter

    Have a great weekend!

  3. You are right they will soon be gone, but for now they look quite summery.

Hi Karen! I love to look at the sky through the tree branches. Hopefully, we’ll have a nice fall.

Wonderful photo. We’ll miss those leaves soon enough.

So true about banking the sun. Each day it seems we lose so much. Pretty soon we will be down to four hours worth at our cabin. Not much to make solar power for sure. I invite you to come see my evening skies from the head of Powell Lake, BC. – Margy

Hi Karen~~ I’d like to think we’re in for a pleasant, mild transition to the changing season. If I have today’s weather to go by, forget it. Wind, rain with an occasional spit second sun break. :]

Love the cherry tree’s bold architecture juxtaposing the soft blue background. However I’m starting to get winded just thinking about the enormous leaf-raking chore in my near future. LOL

I noticed just today that the dogwood leaves are turning red on the edges. My cherry tree leaves turn yellow first, then orangey brown. Definitely time to start looking toward the sky more often.
