Some people really know how to jazz up their streetside garden. This wisteria in the neighborhood was already an eye-catcher with all the huge, fuzzy pods dangling like ornaments from the trellised vine. But add a string of colored round lights – magic!
Notice a blurry/flare thing going on in these photos? I did too. A peek at my camera showed my most ridiculous machine mishap yet – pine sap from a cone gathered in the park last week had been smeared on the lens. Any ideas for how to remove it without ruining the lens? Maybe it’s finally time to go camera-shopping!

hehe – love the camera story (but sorry about the photo interference)! They aren’t the most gardener friendly machine. That is a nicely decorated trellis. My AZ family has similar hanging pods. They are fun & fuzzy, but they hit me in the head every time I walk to their door! I’ve been a little out of touch. Best wishes to you and your family for 2010.
Happy New Year, Karen! This is really a beautiful trellis. I bet in summer it is stunning. I like the ‘Sango Kadu’ behind it–adds to the festive look and matches the house trim. That’s a bummer about the pitch on your camera lens. I think I would call or even take the camera to a photography store and have them advise. Unless of course you’re really wanting a new one in which case Christmas isn’t quite finished for you yet. đŸ™‚
The pods look like deflated balloons. The lights add that extra bit of festive sparkle! Good luck with the lens cleaning.
